@brutium: Don't have an answer for you except to say that HP machines commonly use specialized hardware, especially switchable or hybrid graphics -- and those present serious problems to the Win10 upgrade for two reasons. First, the Win10 compatibility appraisal tool does a poor job of detecting such hardware prior to the update, so instead of telling you NOT to update, it goes ahead and does it. Manual Canon Eos 350d. When the update subsequently fails, or if it succeeds, and leaves the machine is a corrupted state, that is the fault of the Upgrade tool not checking proprely in advance. Second, even if the Upgrade succeeds, since there are no HP Win10 drivers, and MS doesn't actually have the working Win10 switchable graphics drivers needed, you are left with faulty graphics. HP only guarantees Win10 upgrades will work for machines built after August, 2013.
