Today I installed VueScan on my Win7 (7264) X64. After that the 1250 was still not recognized. Go to start and execute/run devmgmt.msc. You will get the hardware list with a yellow marker on your scanner driver. Double klick on that icon.
Now you need to go to the second tab (driver program if I translate it) and second button (renew if I translate it) where you can install drivers for the device. Tell windows to search on your computer and point to the VueScan directory (directly on C:, not in programs).
Now Windows 7 (7264) X64 will find the driver and your Epson 1250 is recognized.:-) Tested and working. This same method worked for installing the AlexP drivers for my PS3 Eyetoy on windows 7 (7264). Tested and working also.
