Easy to set up with my computer, and isn't crazy glitch like the new printer we have upstairs, which has never worked right. Sometimes, simple old tech is the best. I've had this about four years now and will soon replace it, although it's had very little use: - It constantly jams or says that it's out of paper when it isn't.
Yes, I'm using approved ink-jet paper and am not overfilling the feeder - if you put more than 10 sheets in it you will almost never get it to feed anyway. - I rarely print [somewhat because of the printer itself], but when I do, normally I can't get any reasonable quality out of this without either replacing the cartridge or spending a lot of time on cleaning them by hand [the internal cleaning function doesn't cut it]. I dropped using it for photos a long time ago - between the ink and the paper it's simply far more expensive than using an internet photo service and the quality, while initially good, is something I can no longer make good enough to bother with for photos. I'm lucky any more if I can print out a B/W boarding pass that will be good enough to get me on a plane. - The scanning works reasonably well, except it always produces a moire effect when scanning photos from magazines - fairly useless for photo scanning. Does ok on text from a book.
