Canon Printers Drivers

Hi, Thanks for posting your query to Microsoft forum. I will certainly help you with this. This could be due to incompatible printer drivers. Printer driver is provided by Printer manufacturer. Please try these methods below and check. Method 1: Update the drivers. Step 1: Check for the latest driver update through Windows Updates.

Go to the Canon website and enter the model number of the printer or Canon device for which you need updated Drivers Select the correct Operating System and download the Driver file Once downloaded, browse to the file and double-click to launch.

• At the Start screen, type Windows Update. • Click or tap Settings on the right side of the screen, and then select Install optional updates from the left results. • When the Windows Update control panel opens, click on “ Check for Updates” on the top left corner to receive a fresh list of updates. Step 2: Follow the steps below to update the printer drivers. • Press Windows + X key on the keyboard.

• Go to device manager. • Right-click your Printer devices.

• Click Update Driver Software and then follow the steps in the wizard that appears. Restart the computer and check. Method 2: Check in compatibility mode. Download the drivers from your printer manufacture website for Windows 10, if not available. Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

Download the driver from the manufacturer’s website. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on ‘properties’. Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Windows itself was already up to date, and when I tried updating the driver, it told me it was also up to date. I downloaded the Windows 8.1 driver from the Canon web site and installed it. That seems to have fixed the problem. Compatibility mode was not necessary, but it did take a restart before Photoshop recognized the printer as a scanner. Just be sure you have Windows 8. If you're going there on your Windows 10 machine it will default to Windows 10 and not give you a download link.

Following please find the link to the Canon driver page for MX850 Scroll down to Drivers & Downloads and select Operating System Windows 8.1 or Windows 8.1 (x64) matching the version installed on your PC. • From the drivers tab download • MX850 series MP Driver • From the Network tab • IJ Network Driver and • MP Navigator EX After installation of these driver I had all printer function (printing, fax and scanning) under Windows 10 as on the previous OS.
