I'm looking to implement a PDF printer across three RDS severs in our production environment that are used by approximately 15-20 users. This doesn't really need to have a bunch of bells and whistles, just something that's quick, reliable, and designed/compatible/licensed for a Terminal Server (RDS) environment. I've used Foxit, CutePDF, PrimoPDF, and PDFCreator before with good results. They've all been quite good for individual use, but we want something that won't be interrupting the user encouraging them to run updates all the time, have licensing issues with a Terminal Server environment, or become price prohibitive. Adobe Acrobat would probably work, but I wonder about pricing and it being overkill (I don't need to slow these servers down just for printing) if all we need is straight printing to to PDF without any fancy editing. Perhaps things have changed since 2014, but we tried BullZip PDF on RDS and it prints a red banner in the footer or header of every page that says 'TRIAL MODE - A valid license will remove this message. When viewing the properties of the PDF, it says 'TRIAL MODE / Professional features: Remote session on Citrix or Terminal Server' So apparently the free version does not really support RDS, even though the website for the free version () says 'Support for Windows Terminal Server', so that is misleading.
